Delete your account

If you can sign in

1. Open Account > Security on the web, or Settings in the Android or Windows app.
2. Choose Delete account.
3. Confirm. You will see the date your data is scheduled to be removed.

Prefer to take your data first? The same page exports everything we hold about you as a file.

If you cannot sign in

Ask through the support form and put "Delete my account" in the subject, along with the email address you signed up with. We will verify that the address is yours before deleting anything, which protects you from someone else deleting your account.

Deleting some data, without deleting your account

You do not have to choose all or nothing. Play asks us to spell this out, and it is worth spelling out:

• Disconnect a mailbox from Account > Connections, and the copy of that mailbox's mail is deleted from InflowMail straight away. The mailbox itself is untouched.
• Delete individual messages from the inbox, which removes our copy.
• Clear a helper's access from Team Access. The activity log is kept, because it is the record of what they did while they had access.

Anything you cannot do yourself, ask for through the support form.

What gets deleted with the account

• Your account, name and email address.
• Every message, and its metadata, that we synced from your mailboxes.
• The credentials for each connected mailbox, along with the key that encrypts them.
• Rules, nicknames, labels and the settings behind how your mail was sorted.

Timing, and the one thing we keep

• Within 30 days: your data is purged from our systems.
• Backups: encrypted backups roll off on the same 30-day cycle, so a deleted account can persist in a backup until then. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.
• Billing records: invoices and payment records are kept where tax and accounting law requires it. They contain the transaction, not your mail.

Your actual mail is not affected

InflowMail reads your mailboxes with the access you grant; it never moves your mail out of them. Deleting your InflowMail account removes our copy. Everything is still in Gmail, Microsoft 365 or wherever it lives, untouched. You can also revoke our access from your provider's own security settings at any time, with or without deleting anything here.
